The Anti-Rot Weekly Buff Agenda 🧠: Cursor hosts, Google unmarks, Meta plays

Meta makes vibe-coded games scrollable, Cursor rethinks Git, creators gain B2B trust, Claude gets /design, and DreamCache is ready to play.

You just knuckle down. You concentrate. You do the basics. You drive forward improvements across the piece and be confident that it will come back.🙂‍↕️ - James Daunt, CEO of Barnes & Noble

This Just In From The Buff Desk

You touched grass. The internet evolved. Let's catch you up… intentionally.

This one got a little buried under the SpaceX news, but Cursor started rolling out Origin, which it calls “a Git forge for the agentic era.” It brings repos, pull requests, code browsing and GitHub sync into Cursor, with GitHub still able to remain the source of truth for existing projects. The bigger idea is that Cursor isn’t just building an editor for agents anymore; it’s starting to build the infrastructure those agents will actually work inside.
Cursor started with AI writing your code. Now it wants to rethink where that code lives.

Meta’s experimental app Pocket is now rolling out across the U.S., and instead of scrolling through videos or photos, you scroll through tiny interactive games people made with AI prompts. They can respond to touch and your phone’s tilt, use sounds or photos, and anyone can play, save, repost or remix what you make. Pocket comes from the team behind Gizmo, which Meta acquired earlier this year.

We’ve been talking about vibe coding as a way to build apps. Meta is testing whether building an app can become a form of content.

Google will now let you turn off the visible watermark on AI-generated images, videos and music made with Gemini, including Nano Banana, Omni and Lyria. Google isn't abandoning AI labelling; it will still carry Google's invisible SynthID watermark and C2PA metadata. The move is meant to make the final output easier for creators and brands to use without giving up provenance.

Paper Read: B2B Buyers are trusting creators before sales teams

"Creators aren’t just extending a brand’s reach. They’re extending its credibility."

Okay, I’m a little biased since I’m in this one.

Kamya Marwah from Inc. Magazine spoke with Roxy Couse, Vin Matano, AJ Eckstein and Sharon Jacob (myself) about how creators are becoming a much bigger part of the B2B marketing playbook not just for reach, but for trust.

The stat that I shared with Inc: 82% of B2B buyers say creator content influences purchasing decisions, which is why I talked about creators not simply extending a brand’s reach, but extending its credibility.

Challenge Set :

Three things to actually try this week!

Claude Code’s new /design skill gives you editable UI artboards right inside the coding workflow. This week, try making one actual design decision before you let the AI build the whole thing.

On Masters of Scale, Barnes & Noble CEO James Daunt explains how he turned around both Waterstones and Barnes & Noble, and one of his core ideas is surprisingly anti-algorithm.

I made DreamCache.exe for the hobbies you want to return to, the ideas sitting in your Notes app, the things you still want to learn. Here’s a little house for all the versions of you you’re still becoming.
